So for me, the results are slow but sure. I know I would be more satisfied if I could eat better, but one thing at a time!
How is everyone doing? I am now at the point of running between 2 and 3 miles. Some days it feels more difficult than others. I don't sleep the best because our air conditioner needs a new part, so it will be a few more weeks before that comes in! So as I sweat, toss, and turn, I think of the soldiers in Iraq and don't feel sorry for myself anymore!
Anyway, Canto and I are biking today. Pete was able to attach the baby carrier thingy to the back of my bike, so it better be sturdy and safe! If anyone ever wants to bike, rollerblade or run in Bunker Park, let me know and I'll give you directions so you can park at my house for free (I like right across the street from the entrance).
When I get back from vaca I'm running in Andover's 5k so we'll see how that goes. Angi is running with me (she just got her new fitted shoes)!
Have a wonderful 4th!

And the Schedule Begins

Well, the beautiful schedule Sarah put together officially starts the 16th with S & S. I love the fact that I know there are others sticking to this plan with me! Even though it says 1.5 mile run this week and I might be mostly fast walking, at least I'm getting the blood flowing and working towards a goal! Yah! Go girls!

Accountability
How's the training going?
Day 1: 45 minutes of "cross training." I actually enjoyed rollerblading pushing Drew in his jogger stroller. Despite the fact that I went at noon under the blaring sun (I won't make that mistake again!) I feel good! How you ladies doing?

It's Just Beginning

Some say we can't do it (hm-hm, we won't name names), some think we were made to do this... I think this is just what I need: a challenge to conquer, a goal in mind, a body I can envision! With strong women surrounding me, I will take this seriously and push myself. Why not discover my own strength? Why not enforce self-discipline? Why not see what my body can go through and metamorphosize into? Ladies - we're in this together!
Pain is nothing compared to what it feels like to quit.
P.S. I already ran around Calhoun and had Pete take a picture of me from behind... What? I wanted a before picture and in October I'll take another after picture!
